Replacing generators at Portishead police HQ
Jul 2019
The Electrio team are currently working on replacing the permanent generators at Portishead Police headquarters.
Following detailed planning and design work, the team took delivery of two 800KVA generators. These will be used as temporary backup generators while Electrio’s experienced electricians start work replacing the permanent backup generators and panels.
The generators include the latest SCR systems, which reduce nitrogen oxide emissions from the diesel engines, making the generators more environmentally friendly.
The team carefully planned the work to connect the temporary generators to a temporary panel to keep disruption to a minimum, limiting shutdown periods for the headquarters.
Replacing the existing permanent generators should take between six and eight weeks to complete, and the team are looking forward to the challenge. Read case study
