Providing vital support to Bristol’s hospitals
May 2018
Electrio has a long association of working with UBHT (University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust). In November 2017 they were involved with several projects including an upgrade to the busy A&E department at the BRI. Prior to this, Electrio’s electricians were also involved with new electrical services for the new Tissue Culture Lab also at the BRI.
New electrical services at the BRI
In November, Electrio worked closely with CW Duke, a local building contractor and directly with Trust's Estates Department, to upgraded areas within the BRI’s accident and emergency department. The upgrade included new lighting, power, access control and call systems to provide improved areas for staff in Triage and treatment rooms.
Installing electrics at BRI's latest lab
The electrical work for the new Tissue Culture Lab during August and September 2017, was managed by Dribuild, a construction company. Electrio engineers worked on the electrical installation for this new Lab, located on level 8 of the BRI.
The project was completed on time and looked fantastic once it was finished, this was helped by all the thought and planning which went into it, making it easier for all the parties. A special thanks needs to go to Quantum Cryogenics, who also helped us to provide a solution and delivered on time.
