Taking safety seriously
Apr 2018
Ongoing training is a vital part of keeping both our staff and our clients safe. To ensure our team of electricians can safely operate anywhere we need regularly take time out for training.
Being Asbestos Aware
As part of our training programme, in April this year, all Electrio staff had a training day held at the office hosted by a local training provided Logic SHE Solutions. The workshop focused on Working at Height, along with Manual Handling and Asbestos Awareness. This sort of interactive workshop always works well, since it leads to lively debate plus helps to determine practical solutions to the areas we work in.
Health and Safety procedures
Earlier in March, our team received some practical advice and training in using their safe isolation kits and procedures from Martindale Electric. Safe isolation is a critical part of working safely within the electrical industry, with the help of Martindale’s Tool Box talks we can reinforce and reminds staff about the correct health and safety procedures.
Working in confined spaces
Most recently, in May 2018, two of our staff; Richard Southcott and Steven Davies, completed a City and Guilds Confined Space Training at the STAS Ltd Training Centre in Gloucester. When installing cables our engineers frequently have to work within a confined spaces, this course helps ensure we are keeping both our staff safe and can safely carry out necessary installations.
Industry Accreditation
We are proud to be members of the ECA who monitor excellence in electrotechnical and engineering services.
