Donating services and equipment to support Mercy Ships in Tenerife
Jul 2024
Electrio recently returned to Tenerife to carry out work on the hospital ship ‘Global Mercy,’ donating both services and equipment to support Mercy Ships.
Mercy Ships is an international charity that provides free surgical care and improves surgical delivery systems in the poorest nations. Over the course of the week, Electrio's team installed additional Cableflow medical trunking, as well as several IPS and general power circuits on the ship. This vital work will help ensure the ship’s medical installations meet the highest standards.
Collaborating to deliver success
Electronic manufacturer Bender UK collaborated on the project, also providing their services free of charge. Their generous support was crucial to the successful testing and verification of the new medical installations.
This project clearly demonstrates both companies commitment to enhancing healthcare infrastructure for charitable causes and is a shining example of the spirit of community and cooperation that exists within the industry.
Tony Long and Jon Trevelyan both travelled to Tenerife with their team to oversee the project. Tony said; “We are so proud of the work we have carried out on numerous medical installations for Mercy Ships. It means a great deal to be able to make a difference by providing our services to such an admirable organisation.”
