Dairy Crest Waste Water Treatment Works
Installation and Maintenance | Food and Beverage
The Challenge
Electrio was tasked with replacing the existing 40 year old Blower House Switchboard for a new one without interruption to the continuous working at Dairy Crest's busy waste water treatment plant in Davidstow.
The Solution
To minimise disruption to the service, this project was carried out over a two week period and was part of the ongoing improvement to the waste water treatment plant at Dairy Crest Davidstow. A team of Electrio electricians initially installed a temporary Low Voltage panel, feeding this from a 500 KVA generator.
Working closely with site engineers from Dairy Crest to ensure the correct isolation process was completed, various controlled shutdowns were carried out so that the sub-main supply cables could be swapped over, to limit disruption.
Following the relocation of all supplies and controls, the old panel was able to be removed and the new bespoke panel installed. This new bespoke panel was designed and manufactured for Electrio by Prism Switch Gear. All new supplies were installed via new containment to feed the DAF plant and Blower project.
